About My Practice

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist offering services to individuals in Philadelphia.

Approach to Therapy

My work is guided by psychodynamic and relational ideas. This means I believe the unique relationship we develop is a tool to gain meaning and healing. I focus on the here and now while maintaining a curiosity about how your past and unconscious motivations shape you.

I work with most individuals on a long-term basis, but I'm also open to focusing on short-term challenges and solutions.  I will listen closely to your needs, and I will share my questions and observations.

Fees & Logistics

I charge $130 per session for individuals and $150 for couples, and I typically ask for a commitment to one 50-minute session each week. I occasionally have sliding scale spots available. I do not accept insurance but can provide invoices if you would like to seek reimbursement from your insurance for out-of-network care.

My Background

I am interested in working with a diverse range of individuals; I have a depth of experience working with college students, adults in their 20's and 30's, LGBTQ people, and immigrants and refugees. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, identity formation (sexuality, gender, and racial/ethnic), trauma, sexual abuse, and addiction.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for over a decade in communications and legislative/grassroots advocacy on LGBTQ and domestic violence issues. I graduated from Swarthmore College in 1999 and the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research in 2016.
